Playing with “Big Deep” Sound–
Luke Schwartz is a musician based in New York. Throughout his career he’s been recognized by numerous organizations, including the Grammy Foundation, ASCAP, BMI, New Music Forum, and Queens Council on the Arts.
He is the co-founder of Big Deep (with Jordan Fairless), a project that lives in the space between expansive improvisation and composed intensity — familiar but uncharted.
Luke’s solo band – The Review – pays homage to the roots of rock n’ roll via original material, wrapping all respective genres into a uniquely guitar and pedal steel-driven sound.
Additionally, Luke is both a film composer and an in-demand studio musician who performs regularly in a multitude of other projects. He is a member The Glenn Branca Ensemble, Whimbrels, Wharton Tiers Ensemble, and Grease Trap.
